Our projects
At CEHDA, we work for a fairer, more diverse and more supportive society, where everyone can exercise their rights on equal terms and live with dignity.
In Catalonia, we develop projects that combine reception and training for migrant people, awareness-raising and the social transformation of society as a whole. Outside Catalonia, we carry out co-development initiatives and take part in international cooperation networks and spaces.

Through our Comprehensive Reception line, we support migrant people in vulnerable situations throughout their arrival, settlement and autonomy process. We do this by offering a place to live, legal guidance and training in language, rights and trades, especially in the field of agroecology, together with partner organisations. We also promote meeting spaces, cultural activities and activities to get to know the local environment, in order to foster intercultural coexistence and community participation. All of this is done with the aim of ensuring that no one is left behind and that each person can rebuild their life project with safety and hope.
At the same time, through the area of Education for Social Transformation and Global Justice, we promote educational processes that invite people to reflect, question and act in the face of global inequalities and structural racism. We work with schools, universities, AFAs, organisations and diverse groups to encourage critical and committed thinking that places life and care at the centre. We give a voice to migrant people who, through their own experience, become educational role models and agents of change, bringing perspectives from the Global South and decolonial approaches into classrooms and society.
In addition, for more than ten years we have supported the development of local projects in Ghana that respond to community needs and generate decent, sustainable job opportunities rooted in the territory. Through this line of co-development, we work so that young people in the town are not forced to migrate due to a lack of future prospects, strengthening community initiatives that promote autonomy, sustainability and local development.
Likewise, at CEHDA we have continued to take part in national and international events, because we firmly believe that networking is necessary to drive social change. Participation in spaces for meeting, exchange and advocacy allows us to share learning, build alliances and join forces with other organisations and groups committed to global justice, human rights and social transformation.
From this comprehensive perspective — reception as a right, education as a tool for transformation, co-development as a shared commitment and networking as a driver of change — at CEHDA we build bridges between people, communities and cultures. We defend the right to migrate, global justice and the need for a social model based on cooperation, sustainability and mutual respect.
We believe that only through the recognition of diversity and shared work can we move towards a truly inclusive, anti-racist Catalonia committed to human rights.
