El Bon Cistell translated in English as The Good Basket is a program that delivers organic produce baskets in the city of Barcelona that includes a public awareness component. This project aims at:

• Bringing organic produce closer to residents living in less wealthy neighbourhoods of Barcelona.
• Raising awareness on the importance of establishing a closer relationship between those who produce food and those who consume them following principles of subsidiarity (the smaller the scale the better), sustainability, social engagement and territorial balance.
• Supporting small and local grocery stores in less wealthy neighbourhoods via collaboration agreements to sell our baskets in their stores. This way we encourage short commercial circuits.
• Facilitate job placement of people at risk of exclusion.
